BOAT DRINKS!

Two of the Parrot Heads of Port Aransas (Texas) members publish Gulfscapes magazine. They want to include a section on boat drink recipes and the best places on the gulf coast to get boat drinks. Please forward to your membership! Here's the blurb:
Gulfscapes, the premier upscale Gulf Coast living magazine, is paying tribute to that well known and cherished coastal tradition, the Boat Drink. And who knows Boat Drinks better than Parrotheads! We're searching for the best Boat Drink, so send us your recipes. We'll select the best and include the results in our Summer issue.
We're also researching the best Parrothead style bars along the Gulf Coast, so send us a list of your three favorite watering holes.
While we're at it, send us the name of your most interesting Parrothead, along with a description of why they're so interesting. We'll show them some love in an upcoming issue.
If you have questions, contact us at Gulfscapes@gmail.com.

ABOUT US:
Pirates on the Panhandle (PoP) is a chapter of Parrot Heads In Paradise, Inc. (or PHiP). For more information on PHiP, go to www.PHIP.com

The "ParrotHead Nation" ended 2009 with an all-time high of 237 chapters in the United States, Canada and Australia ... 3 different countries, 47 states, 3 Canadian provinces and one U.S. Territory. Our total membership showed another increase with almost 27,000 dedicated, fun-loving Parrot Heads amongst the ranks.
Even in the face of an economic downturn, Parrot Head Clubs collectively raised for and/or donated approximately $2.8 million to charitable organizations in 2009. Equally significant, Parrot Heads carried on the tradition of volunteerism as 2009 saw chapters worldwide donate an estimated 180,000 man-hours to philanthropic and environmental activities. The upshot … In the period 2002 – 2009, Parrot Head Clubs have collectively contributed more than $19.2 million and approximately 2.3 million man-hours to aid our communities, our environment and our fellow man!

The purpose of our organization is to promote friendships and organize social activities for people with similar interest, including enjoying the lifestyle portrayed by Jimmy Buffett’s music.
Pirates on the Panhandle encourages its members to provide a variety of volunteer efforts locally, for community environmental causes and doing so with a social blend. In the process of building new relationships with friends and family activities, we believe in leaving something positive behind as we “Party With A Purpose!”
